CIE

Envisioned in 1986, realized in 2010…more services, more focus, more resources…

Introducing the Consortium for Independent Education (CIE). The CIE has been created as the parent company for a new, wider range of services that will include those currently being offered by SSAT and SSATB. CIE will centralize governance and management for the five new subsidiaries envisioned and launched by the SSAT Board of Directors.

Throughout this year, you will see the CIE logo appearing with the familiar SSATB logo. Eventually, SSATB will be renamed “The Admission Organization” (TAO), with its own branding, and the TAO logo will join the CIE logo on all materials related to professional development for admission practitioners.

CIE will oversee operations including marketing, public relations, program/operations oversight, and financial and budgetary control. It will act with charitable purposes to facilitate among its constituent subsidiaries both funds and operations generated to benefit all, and for the greater good. The present Board of Directors of SSATB will become the Board of CIE.
