Due to the overwhelming response that we have had from our member schools, we are suspending applications until we have had a chance to review the applications that we have received. 

Should we require additional applicants, this page will once again contain links for application.  Please check back frequently for any status updates.

SSATB seeks outstanding middle and high school Humanities and Math teachers interested in learning the art of item writing and in contributing items to SSATB, beginning this spring (and beyond).   

Sarasota, FL

Expenses (travel/lodging/meals) + $1,000 honorarium

Meeting begins the morning of Saturday, February 25 and concludes midday on Sunday, February 26. Item writers will need to arrive on Friday, February 24.

The immediate time commitment for item writers includes this two-day workshop and the delivery of:

• A minimum of 20 accepted Verbal/Math questions with a maximum of 50 accepted Verbal/Math questions.  Item Writers receive $35.00 per accepted Verbal/Math question. 

• A minimum of 4 accepted Reading passages (with 4 items per passage) with a maximum of 8 accepted Reading passages (with 4 items per passage) Item writers receive $100.00 per authored reading passage and $50.00 for each associated item.
   
• All items must be received by March 31, 2012.
