Prepare for College. Prepare for Life.

Brook Hill has been nationally recognized as one of the 'best Christian boarding schools in America' as well as one of the most beautiful high school campuses in Texas. Academically, we offer 29 AP and Dual Credit courses, a Smithsonian quality on-campus history museum, and a hands-on business lab.

At Brook Hill, our particular purpose is that every student who walks the halls will become a better learner, leader, listener, problem-solver, and friend. Here, you will discover new ideas and timeless truths. You will push the boundaries of your potential and imagination. You will learn to put the needs of others before your own. And you will emerge prepared to flourish outside the walls of this place—not only in college but for the rest of your life.

Our state-champion athletic program ranks among the best in Texas and offers collegiate-level training facilities for all teams. Brook Hill Athletics produces multiple college athletes every year. We foster a spirit of creativity through the visual and performing arts with vibrant programs in musical theatre, orchestra, and college-level virtual arts electives.  We also offer opportunities for students through jazz band, guitar classes, digital media, and choir.

American Freedom Museum

Dull moments don’t exist at our on-campus American Freedom Museum. From the minute students arrive, they’re immersed in a story that makes history come alive. When they leave, students not only have a better grasp of the material they’ve been learning about in class, but also a stronger sense of how their story fits into the larger story of America.

S.P.A.R.C. Week

SPARC stands for Spring Potential & Reality Courses. We ask our teachers, "If you could teach a class anywhere in the world, on any subject, for one week, where would you go and what would you teach?" And the world becomes the classroom for our students for a week every Spring in this non-traditional learning experience!

Humanities

At Brook Hill, we teach an integrated curriculum of history, English, philosophy, theology, and other disciplines. We believe that students gain a better understanding of the world when they are able to not just study the history of events, but understand their connection to the history of ideas through the eyes of literature.

Real Talk

"Brook Hill has a tremendous ability in giving students necessary tools to learn any given profession or interest, and the rich and varied experiences of the faculty and staff give every student the possibility of mentorship from an expert in their field of interest."

"There are other schools that can compete with Brook Hill’s curriculum, fine arts, sports, and Christ-centered approach. However, I believe you’d be hard-pressed to find a school that does all four of these things as well as Brook Hill. Brook Hill promotes balance in its students. Most schools seem content to pigeon-hole students into one or two aptitudes. Brook Hill forces their students to strive for excellence in places where the student may not be comfortable. Brook Hill will meet your student where he or she is and challenge them there. This type of adversity is great for a high schooler because its confined to an environment where everyone wants you to succeed."

"The time management ability, diligence, and discipline that Brook Hill necessitates have directly translated into a learned ability to succeed in the dynamic college landscape for me."

"Brook Hill was crucial to my development as a student and to piquing my academic curiosity that led to my subsequent decisions to study philosophy and pursue a career in advocacy work. Specifically, Bible classes and humanities classes helped me develop my love for philosophy, theology, and literature. It was a place where my hunger for knowledge was started, and propelled me into my current path. It also was the first place where I heard about one of my heroes, German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, whose life and work played a large role in my personal journey. He said: 'We are not to simply bandage the wounds of victims beneath the wheels of injustice, we are to drive a spoke into the wheel itself.' I take that charge very seriously!"

"I am grateful for the people most of all—the friends I made who have continued to be dear friends of mine through the years. The friends I made who I may not be in close touch with now, but who made my time at BH beautiful. The teachers who taught me great academic skills and also lent me a listening ear when I truly needed it."
