In general, testing accommodations approval takes an average of two weeks; however, please know that depending upon your student's specific needs, the approver you select, the documentation on file, and whether your documentation must be reviewed by our staff, this process can take anywhere from a few days up to 4 weeks.
Depending on your student's accommodation request, you may or may not be required to submit documentation which can greatly impact an application's timeline for approval.
- If you are required to submit documentation, please allow our team a minimum of two (2) weeks to complete its review of your student's application after you have uploaded supporting documentation and your designated approver has completed their requirements.
- If you are not required to submit supporting documentation, the approval wait time will greatly depend upon the speed at which your student's approver takes action in completing their requirements.?
- We recommend allowing at least 3-4 weeks for application approval prior to the applicable registration deadline, however, testing options may be limited in some areas, therefore, please apply for accommodations as soon as possible.
- Incomplete submissions, or those not meeting EMA's requirements, may cause for delays in the processing of your student's application and their ability to register for accommodated testing.
