What can I do as a parent to make testing with accommodations less stressful for my student when completing the SSAT?

After your student’s accommodations have been approved, it is recommended that you have a conversation with him or her about what to expect on test day and the testing accommodations they will be permitted to use. This can go a long way toward decreasing test day anxieties and promoting their best performance.

It may also be beneficial to remind your student that SSAT test results are only one piece of their overall admissions profile and that other factors will also be weighed when schools consider their application for admission.
