How do I take a break during the SSAT at Home?

Your student will be able to take two (2) scheduled breaks or request an unscheduled break by typing "break" in the proctor chat.

SSAT at Home Questions
November 25, 2020

Taking a scheduled or unscheduled break during the SSAT at Home is easy. Simply chat the proctor to say "break." There is no need to wait for a response from the proctor. Take your break and when returning simply continue the test — no need to chat again.

Remember, students receive two ten-minute scheduled breaks during testing. One is after the writing sample and one is after the second multiple choice section. Students can also take unscheduled breaks during any test section; however, the timer will not stop and students will be unable to make up missed time.
